Wataniya Telecom was commercially launched in 1999 as the first privately owned operator in Kuwait. Its principal activities included local and international fixed telephone, mobile, Internet, data and cable television services. In March 2007, Ooredoo acquired 51% of Wataniya Telecom shares from Kuwait Projects Company Holding KSC (KIPCO) group.
Back in 2010-2011, Wataniya was looking for a solution to extend its Network Operations Center capabilities to address its network expansions needs.
The solution is based on NetBoss XT network management system. Wataniya has previously selected NetBoss for its network expansion projects. TECOM was involved in on-site installation (High Availability cluster configuration tuning) and commissioning in cooperation with NetBoss Technologies, Inc.
By utilizing the advanced capabilities of NetBoss XT, Wataniya can quickly detect, isolate and correct network failures without affecting services and keep operational costs low.
