Tecom presents new solutions for broadcast quality control and monitoring at NATEXPO 2011

On November 23-25, 2011, Tecom took part in the International exhibition of professional broadcasting and cinema equipment «NATEXPO-2011», which took place in Moscow’s International Exhibition Center. The event is produced by the National Association of TV and Radio Broadcasters of Russia (NAT), the Eduard Sagalaev Fond of TV Broadcasting, Mass Media and Internet Technology Expansion and «ExpoNAT» Ltd. and is supported by the Federal Agency of Press and Mass Communications and the Moscow city Government.

This was the fourth consecutive NATEXPO even Tecom took part in, traditionally presenting a large range of solutions for broadcast automation.

This year, Tecom demonstrated its latest project, IRWIn QoS TV, a quality monitoring system for analogue and digital TV.

The problem of broadcast quality monitoring is becoming ever more acute, ecpecially in light of digital rollout in Russia. The level of interest towards this issue was proven by a fully packed auditorium at a lecture on Digital Broadcast Quality Monitoring, delivered by Tecom’s representatives.

One IRWIn QoS highlights is the ability to consider both subjective and objective quality parameters during the process of full-scaledquality monitoring and analysis. Its other stand-out feature is the ability to calculate an integral criterion of the broadcast quality, based on input parameters.

A working demonstrational version of IRWin QoS was displayed at the company’s stand where the exhibition visitors could watch the broadcast quality monitoring process in real time.
